Russian Embassy in London continues twisting the reality saying that UK Army’s units are stationed in Ukraine to “participate in psychological and information operations”.
This claim is the latest installment of a long tradition of announcements from Russian fake news propaganda machine, the main aim of which is to spread a lie and divert attention from Russian subversive actions. The most recent of which is another failure when top-level security alert had been issued at every military base in Britain after a Russian TV crew was caught spying at the UK Army’s 77 Brigade.
The funniest fact for us is that Russian fake news outlets like “Sputnik” even went further saying that 1,200 troops from the UK Army’s 77 Brigade are currently stationed in Ukraine. This is actually the overall number of the brigade. We wish it was the truth!
We are grateful to the UK and our other partners for helping us cope with Russian cyber threats, especially on the eve of presidential elections in Ukraine which Russia tries to undermine in every possible way.
Russia is testing the world in every aspect of its hybrid warfare and this colossal threat must be addressed today.
