The Russian lies about the origin of the “Ukraine crisis” could probably become the case if not one fact. The fact that Ukrainian diplomats, politicians, experts and other patriots supported by Western allies have already proven on multiple occasions that there is nobody to blame for the security situation in and around Ukraine but Russia only.

It is time for the Kremlin to recognize that manipulations and misinterpretations of facts on the ground in Crimea and Eastern Ukraine have failed a long time ago. The whole world clearly knows that annexation of Crimea and military aggression in Donbas are driven by Russia’s delusive and fallacious desire to reinstate the power and authority over post-Soviet countries or even restore the USSR.

Yet, Russia is further trying to interpret the history in its own way.

It also refers to the Minsk commitments which the Russians are reading in the same way as the Budapest Memorandum trying to make the document null and void.

Russia has no moral right to blame Ukraine for not delivering on Minsk while thousands of Russian regular armed forces, tanks, artillery, multiple rocket launch systems and other weaponry are further stationed in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Just since the beginning of January this year Russian troops and their terrorists shelled Ukrainian positions in Donbas over 700 times.

Yet sorry for mentioning morality when talking about Russian foreign policy in the time when all the leading international organizations have already acknowledged the fact that there is an armed conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the Ukrainian territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

In this regard, we are glad to inform that Ukraine has filed a case in the International Court of Justice to hold the Russian Federation accountable for acts of terrorism and discrimination in the course of its unlawful aggression against Ukraine.
