OUP informed the Embassy that their team had been already working on updating the textbook which would appear in the coming weeks.

We hope mistakes will be acknowledged and corrected and new textbook will include information using the language engaging learners into understanding that Crimea is a part of Ukraine's territory, which is temporary occupied, and Russia's actions against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of neighbouring states is a subject for condemnation.

OUP assured Embassy that no copies would leave their warehouse until the changes were made and the teachers’ guide to the series as well as the OUP site would be updated immediately to notify their customers, especially the schools, about the changes. According to OUP, any customers who have already purchased a copy of the title and wish to receive an updated version will be able to receive one free of charge.
