Embassy expressed a deep concern with regard to the Oxford University Press referring to Crimea as Russian territory in its recent edition of the textbook on geography (Geog.3 4th edition Student Book, 2015).
On October 13, the letter was sent to the publishing house urging to correct the mistakes. The letter states that showing Crimea as a part of Russian territory contradicts the international law as Crimea was brutally annexed by Russia with its boots on the ground. The so called “referendum” was held under the barrels of Russian guns and was never recognised by the international community.
Great Britain condemned the annexation of Crimea and has repeatedly urged Russia to stick to the international law and stop the occupation of Crimea.
