Treaty Legal Framework of Ukrainian-British Bilateral Relations
The Treaty Legal Framework of Ukrainian-British Bilateral Relations consists of more than 30 treaties. Besides, in July 1999 the succession of Ukraine for 10 treaties, which were concluded between USSR and Great Britain, was formalized.
The existing bilateral agreements create a wide political and legal framework for the development of Ukrainian-British relations within key areas of bilateral cooperation. Nevertheless, Ukrainian national interests, as well as the level of partnership with Great Britain, demand the development of new bilateral international legal instruments.
The sides are negotiating a number of draft international bilateral treaties, in particular in the sphere of military, financial cooperation etc.
