On 25 February, Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, took part in the opening of the production facility of the Ukrainian defence technology company Ukrspecsystems.

The new facility marks an important step in the development of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom and demonstrates the transition from supporting Ukraine to deep defence-industrial cooperation.

Ukrainian technologies, proven in real combat conditions, are being integrated into the British defence ecosystem, strengthening the security of both countries and their allies.

In his remarks, the Ambassador of Ukraine stressed that modern warfare is a competition not only between armies, but also between state systems, economies and industries, and that joint defence production is a foundation of long-term European security.

The establishment of a Ukrainian defence production facility in the United Kingdom enhances the resilience of Ukraine’s defence industry, supports the scaling of production, and deepens Ukraine’s integration into the European security architecture.
