During his visit to the UK the Minister of Finance of Ukraine O.Danylyuk signed a Protocol between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to amend the Convention between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital gains. The Rt Hon. Sir Alan Duncan, UK Minister of State for Europe and the Americas, sighed the document from British side.

The Protocol makes some amendments to the Convention, in particular, the taxation of dividends at 5% rate, increasing the interest rate and royalty rate from 0% to 5%, the wider possibilities for fiscal information exchange etc.
