Ukraine considers the possibility of concluding a separate agreement with Great Britain on the Free Trade Area due to the official London's decision to withdraw from the European Union and to shape its own trade policy. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the outcomes of the meeting with Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May. The meeting was held as a part of the Prime Minister’s official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

«We addressed the issues of deepening economic cooperation. If we look at mutual trade - for a year now we have trade flows to the tune of USD 2 billion, but the potential can be USD 3.5 billion. Hence, taking account of Brexit, we need to talk about the basics of our economic cooperation. I brought up a point and I found support to start consultations on the formation of the Free Trade Agreement (further - FTA) with Great Britain», stressed the Prime Minister.

Volodymyr Groysman recalled that the FTA is in force between Ukraine and the EU, Ukraine-Canada Free Trade Agreement enters force on September  1 and negotiations are being held on concluding the abovementioned Agreement with Turkey and Israel.
