In the course of the official visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held negotiations with Prime Minister of Great Britain Theresa May.
Following the negotiations, the Head of State informed journalists on the results. The parties have, inter alia, discussed the expansion of security cooperation, “The Prime Minister offered participation of Great Britain in a whole range of reforms. I think, cooperation in the elaboration and implementation of legislation regarding financial investigation service may be efficient,” the Head of State said. He instructed to work over the given issue to make the respective service fully efficient and non-corrupt eliminating the tax police.
Besides, according to Petro Poroshenko, the parties discussed cooperation in the implementation of judicial reform taking into account the proposals of British advisors, experience and authority of British court system.
“This is only a small part we’ve agreed upon on Downing street. We also touched upon the issue of visa liberalization for Ukrainian citizens,” the President informed.
