Documentary films by the art initiative BABYLON'13
7:30pm – 8:30pm Entrance: free
BABYLON'13 is an art group of Ukrainian film directors, camera operators and producers who have been capturing the events in Maidan as they have taken place. Film producer Ihor Savychenko and other film directors will give a brief presentation and then there will be an opportunity for a Q&A session.
Paintings exhibition ‘The Wall 28.01–08.03.2014’ by Matvey Vaisberg
Open from 11 to 13 July: Fri 11th July (4–10pm), Sat 12th—Sun 13th (midday–10pm).
Entrance: free
Exibition of 28 paintings by Kyiv-based artist Matvey Vaisberg resulting from months spent in the Maidan depicting the final three days of hostilities.
Photography & art posters exhibition ‘Maidan.Saga’
Fri 11th July (4–10pm), Sat 12th—Sun 13th (midday–10pm) Entrance: free
The exhibition consists of more than 40 photographs taken during the Maidan revolution in Kyiv and art posters by the group of designers I am a drop in the ocean.
Day 3 — Saturday 12 July
Music and Poetry evening
7:30pm–9pm. Entrance: £12. The funds raised from ticket sales will go to support Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression.
Poets Michael Farbanec and Ludmila Elbourne will warm your heart and make you still, allowing the music of world-renowned musician Selah to take you to the place you have been dreaming of all your life.
Day 4 — Sunday 13 July
‘Bloody East Europeans’, a play by Uilleam Blacker and the Molodyi Teatr
3–4pm Entrance: free
Everybody knows that all the UK’s problems are caused by Eastern European immigrants with unpronounceable names and an annoying habit of working hard. Play reveals exactly who these dangerous people are and asks them what the hell they want.
Concert of Foma, the leader of Ukrainian folk-rock group Mandry
6pm–7:30pm. Entrance: free
Mandry is one of the most well-known bands in Ukraine today. Together with their leader Foma they took part in performances and events at Maidan.
