A solemn meeting near the the Volodymyr the Great Monument at Holland Park (near Holland Park Tube Station).

Laying flowers at the foot of the monument and singing National Anthem of Ukraine will take place.

Timetable of the events to celebrate Independence Day on 24 August

11.00AM – Official wreath laying ceremony by the Statue of St Volodymyr, next to the Ukrainian Institute, with addresses by the Ukrainian Embassy and representatives of Ukrainian institutions and organisations in London.

12.00PM – 6.00PM Traditional Ukrainian food will be served at the AUGB Ukrainian Kitchen, 154 Holland Park Avenue, London, W11 4UH

2.00PM – Picnic at Regents Park on the occasion of Ukrainian Independence Day. Ukrainian Young Professionals in London will be getting together for a traditional picnic in Regents Park (adjacent to the tennis courts, same place where the event has been held on previous occasions). Please wear Ukrainian colours and feel free to bring food & beverages to share. Any sports equipment (football, volleyball, Frisbee, chess, etc.) and musical instruments are very welcome!
