International Maritime Organization is the most prominent center of International Maritime Law development. There are 34 fundamental conventions adopted within the framework of the IMO. Together with the IMO Convention, there are thirty-five such agreements. If amendments and annexes, which require adoption, are added, the overall number of instruments, developed by the IMO, reaches 60.
Ukraine is the Party to 21 fundamental conventions (agreements). In general, Ukraine participates in 32 instruments (conventions (agreements) and amendments) developed by the Organization.
