President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Theresa May.

The Head of State expressed solidarity with the British people and the government regarding the poisoning of Sergei Skripal in Salisbury. Petro Poroshenko noted Ukraine's readiness to assist in the investigation of this case, if necessary.

Theresa May thanked Ukraine for the expression of solidarity with the United Kingdom and once again condemned Russian aggression in the Donbas and Crimea.

The President thanked the British side for the continued support of the territorial integrity of Ukraine and the non-recognition of the results of recent illegal elections in the territory of the occupied Crimea. The issue of strengthening sanctions in response to the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation was also discussed.

The interlocutors discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of security and defense.

President Poroshenko thanked for supporting Ukrainian reforms. In this context, the parties discussed preparations to the second International Conference on the reforms in Ukraine, which will take place in June in Copenhagen.
