Ukraine welcomes ratification of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement by Great Britain

Great Britain has completed the procedure of ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. That was stated at the meeting of Ukraine’s Charge d’Affaires Igor Kyzym with Michael Tatham, Director of FCO’s Department of Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Michael Tatham informed that internal ratification procedures related to the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union were finalised and on April 8 ratification instruments were sent to Brussels to be deposited there.

“We welcome the ratification of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement. This is an important step for European integration of Ukraine”, stressed Igor Kyzym at the meeting at Foreign Office.

Charge d’Affaires called on Great Britain to endorse Ukraine in the issue of giving the prospects of the EU membership that would be discussed at the summit of Eastern Partnership in Riga 21-22 May 2015.
